I have a math test tomorrow, don't know how to do this problem?

Okay... I have a math test tomorrow... The teacher gave us a pretest, and I don't understand this problem at all!

its this..

use a unit converter to change 800mm to cm.

I have no idea wat a "unit converter" is!

How can I do this problem, and whats the answer?

I'm only in 7th grade, so do something simple. lol.I have a math test tomorrow, don't know how to do this problem?
I'll try to keep it simple. =) The brackets are for extra info.

Now you are dealing with mm and cm which are the units for length. (The SI unit or the unit that is commonly used is actually meter. You see, we have a lot of measurements in our daily life, feet, cm, m,etc. But, to standardize it, we have base units that are used internationally called System International d' Unites or SI in short.)

So, we can actually convert or change the units as we like.

To convert units, we must memories this.

1cm=10mm

Therefore,

10mm=1cm

20mm=2cm and so on..

So, 800mm=80cm
Unit converter is to convert Millimeters which is smaller to Centimeter which is bigger than Millimeters.

800 mm is 80 cm

I'll show you!

10 mm is 1 cm

10 cm is 1 dm

100 is 1 meter or m

1,000 m is 1 km

the metric system is based on ten

x is the amount multiply by 10 every time you have a higher numberI have a math test tomorrow, don't know how to do this problem?
a unit is how something is measured such as millimeters or centimeters. a unit converter is something that helps you convert information between different units. 800mm=80cmI have a math test tomorrow, don't know how to do this problem?
A unit converter just changes (converts) units (mm, cm, dm, hm, etc...)

800mm = 80cm
