make sure that you are "in phase" meaning the positive and negative wires are hooked up correctly from your converter. usually i try to install the converter behind the head unit. that way when you upgrade your head unit the wires will already be there.good luck!Subs and Amp hook up to Head unit! help!?
First, try clipping the white wire with a black stripe that goes into the converter. If you start getting more bass, the you have the converter wired incorrectly, and should swap either the white with the white/black, or swap the gray with the gray/black.

Your Camry may have a factory amplifier. If it does, it could cause several complications, but nothing you can't get past. Look at the back of the radio for 2 blue plugs. If you see them, the wires you need to connect the adapter to are in the smaller of the two. If it doesn't have them, You have a factory amplifier, and the easiest (not necessarily the best) way around this is just to connect your adapter to speaker wires at the rear speaker from inside the trunk.

Hope this was helpful.Subs and Amp hook up to Head unit! help!?
The easiest way to do it would be to find the speaker wire at the speakers and connect to it. if you go to trunk and can see the speaker wire for back speakers it would easier to get it from there. also usually the line out converters have an adjustment on the so you can adjust the input going into your amp for your subs.
