Catalytic converter question?

thanks for the insight--have replaced spark control module/plug wires/plugs/assorted sensor units. thinking of replacing coil pack next. Person that was running car always ran it on the empty side (for about 6 months) and the fuel pump is in the tank. The car does start back up after letting it set for about 15-20 minutes. Can you tell me a little more about the oil sending unit? ThanksCatalytic converter question?
oil sending unit is on the side of the engine that the oil filter is on usually, if this unit does not see oil pressure it will shut off the fuel to the engine,, as u say u let the car sit and it starts back up,, goto autozone and rent a fuel pressure tester for 150 bucks, they give u all the money back when u return it,, inside is the testor and a book that tell u what to do with it,, check it against specs in the book and youll know if your pressure is low,,Catalytic converter question?
i would change fuel filter if the car was always run on empty it is most likely pullin up trash and when you let it sit it runs back out and the car starts
