I have change the fuel pump, fuel filter, remanufactured motor, exhuast manifolds, catylitic converter, and tbi unit.1993 Chevrolet 454 truck exhaust manifolds glow red while towing?
It is possable that you are overloaded, the ignition timeing is set too high or advanced or the engine is lean had a 91 R30 454 4speed 4.56 rear had glowing headers but we was towing total weight of 39,000lbs1993 Chevrolet 454 truck exhaust manifolds glow red while towing?
Burnt valves can cause exhaust to glow. Have you lost power, or do you still have good acceleration in all ranges? If not, could just be a function of the engine. It's possible your timing chain jumped a notch, and the exhaust is opening too soon. Only things I can think of.
