When installing a line converter, do you cut the factory wiring harness?

I have the factory head unit out and everything, I just need to know if I should be cutting the leads for the left and right rears straight off the harness that plugs into the back of the factory head unit. Thank you all in advance! When installing a line converter, do you cut the factory wiring harness?
are you going with an aftermarket stereo or are you keeping the factory..if you are using the factory you DO NOT cut the wires...you use the line converter on the speaker leads for the rears and then you ground it...you still have to run power wires and that is assuming you are using subs and amps...lemmie kknow if you have any more questionsWhen installing a line converter, do you cut the factory wiring harness?
You should not cut the factory wiring. Get a wiring harness adapter instead. The adapter plugs into your factory wiring and lets you install a new stereo without cutting into your cars wiring. You can get them online or at most car stereo stores.

Here's a link so you know what I'm talking about. http://www.sonicelectronix.com/cat_i95_w鈥?/a>When installing a line converter, do you cut the factory wiring harness?
Just need to "tap" into those rear speakers if adding an amp for a subwoofer, check the link for a visual, hope this helps. Good Luck!
