Could I splice the wires on this converter to power a car head-unit indoors?

I am trying to power an aftermarket car head-unit (12VDC) inside a US home (120VAC). Could I splice the wires on this product to power this head-unit?

Yes it probably will work but make sure you get the polarity(+ and -) right or you will fry you head unit. I would just use a power supply from a laptop or something that you have laying around save the money 12-14 V DC like 2-5 amps this will work fine. Hope this helps
