I am trying to help my friend install a system in his vw touareg with a factory head unit. Now I know that I am going to need a LOC but the problem is the rear speakers are located in the doors so they are on opposite sides of the car. How am I supposed to connect the LOC when the speakers are so far away from each other.How to install a line out converter?
you'll need to extend the input wires on the loc so they will reach the speakers.
Alternatively, you can pull the HU from the dash, determine which wires are the speaker wires you want to use for signal and make your connections there. That just means longer RCA wires to get to wherever you're mounting the amp(s).
