Is there a washer/dryer unit that runs off of a normal wall outlet?

I have a baby and it's really hard to get anything done, especially laundry and we live in an apartment. the machines are downstairs and coin operated and i'm by myself for a good part of the day. It would be really helpful if i could have the machines in the apartment since i can't leave the baby by himself. does anyone know if there are machines that run off of normal wall outlets? or maybe of a converter for a normal machine? Thanks in advance. Is there a washer/dryer unit that runs off of a normal wall outlet?
Washers, definitely.

Dryers, yes, but they are a bit slower, and take less capacity.

I'd talk to the super and see if they can get a full power dryer receptical installed. Is there a washer/dryer unit that runs off of a normal wall outlet?
There are washer and dryer combos models that runs on electric. Ask the salesmen whether those models runs on "normal wall socket" and have them install for you. Also make sure the dryers are electric type and do not require gas.
