I have a 2004 pontiac grand prix with a stock head unit and want to hook up a kicker sub and amplifier?

It is a single 10" kicker cvr sub and zx300.1 mono channel amplifier. I want to know if I need a 2 channel line out put converter or 4 channel or if it even matters...also what brand do you recommend. I do NOT have the monsoon sound system if that matters either.I have a 2004 pontiac grand prix with a stock head unit and want to hook up a kicker sub and amplifier?
It really depends on your budget. Also, it really doesn't matter if you get a 2, 4, or 6 channel LOC. If all you want is subs, a 2 channel will work. But, if the one you get has more, you can just not use the other channels.

If all you want is a sub out, just get one like this one. http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_5285鈥?/a> The thing that sets this one apart from the rest is a remote output wire to turn on the amp. It saves you from having to have to find a switched wire to use for the remote.

If you're planning on adding more to the system later, I would recommend this model. http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_8168鈥?/a> Pretty much the same idea as the other model. But, it's has 6 output channels with internal summing, level control and noise isolation.I have a 2004 pontiac grand prix with a stock head unit and want to hook up a kicker sub and amplifier?
Ur gonna need a new head unit cuz you need rca jacks in the back. And as for the amp, you only need one channel because you only have one sub. Even if you had 2 subs you would still only need one channel...I have a 2004 pontiac grand prix with a stock head unit and want to hook up a kicker sub and amplifier?
Or a line-out converter will also work.
