The exhaust pipe that comes out of the left catalytic converter has a hole in it that is half way down the pipe in an area that is mesh like. Dealer said the $800 fix is because it is a one piece unit (converter and pipe) and that part of the exhaust has to be replaced. Note, that the 3 mufflers aren't even included in this repair bill, just this section of pipe that has a hole. they might be able to patch it for you, but if its also corroded like it probably is, there is no way to repair it especially if its corroded bad.
