If my amp has a high level input connection does this mean I don't need a hi/lo converter?

I'm trying to keep my stock head unit and I noticed the best way to add a sub and amp is to tap into my rear speakers and use a hi/lo converter. I just noticed that my sub has a high level input connection, so does that mean I can just hook up the wires directly? If my amp has a high level input connection does this mean I don't need a hi/lo converter?
That's correct; you can connect the high-level inputs to your factory speaker wiring instead of using a line-out converter.
