What is the universial remote code for Venturer digital TV converter box?

I recently purchased a Venturer digital TV converter box from Target. The unit comes with a remote, which is tiny and inconvenient to operate. My Samsung DVD player comes with an IR diode for controlling other devices such as this. However, the manufacturer code table in the back of the DVD manual does not list a code for Venturer devices. Any ideas? While some websites list a three-digit code, the DVD player only accepts four digits.|||First thing, Universal Remote codes are not universal. Each manufacturer will organize their database differently, therefore having a different number for the same device than another universal remote manufacturer (or in your case the codes for an IR command feature on a video recorder)

Second thing, the Converter boxes are kind of new. Unless your video recorder is new (and even so, its software, and therefore IR code database, could be stale, and not have IR codes for the converter boxes), or can have a firmware update which includes new IR codes, your SOL on having the video recorder changing channels on that box.

You might be able to set timers on the converter box though.|||You can use some remotes with this converter box.I don't have a Samsung code but have codes for some others.Program the box to the satellite function on the remote.Toshiba:019;Radio Shack:0749,1749,0749,0790,1285鈥?
