If i buy a line output converter to run RCA wires, do i still need to run a remote wire to the head unit?

Or is there a connection on the converter??|||What kind of installation are you asking about? Are you asking about using a sub woofer in a car stereo without line outs? In most cases, the sub comes with a wired remote control. There is no remote wire to run to the head unit.
