I have a stock 2010 Subaru legacy with the stock upgraded tweeters. I just added a subwoofer via Line out converter and I eventually want to replace the head unit and factory speakers. I'll be upgrading things as i have the money. Would adding a speaker amplifier to my stock head and stock speakers improvement? I'll have to get an amp eventually and wanted to know if i should get an amp, or a head unit, or speakers first. New speakers will give you better sound quality and are the best bang-for-the-buck. Keep in mind that even "upgraded" factory speakers usually can't handle a lot of power, so adding an amp may just blow them out.
