Install Line Out Converter?

How do I install a line out/line level converter in an '03 xterra (factory head unit)? What is a good brand converter?Install Line Out Converter?
PAC makes a pretty good adapter, Model SNI-35. You need connect only four wires:



White _to_ Left Speaker +

White/Black _to_ Left Speaker -

Gray _to_ Right Speaker +

Gray/Black _to_ Right Speaker -



You can use the rear speakers from the back of the radio. They should be in the smaller of the two plugs. Perhaps someone knows the colors of these. If all else fails, you could pick up an adapter harness for your vehicle and use it just for reference, looking through the plastic bag and not opening the package. You could probably return it later then.



There are two brown wires on the adapter but you won't usually need these unless you experience engine noise. Then you'd tie both of these to ground.
