Instaling an amp with my factory head unit ian a 2004 monte carlo?

i will be using an line out converter, do i still have to run an remote wire from the back of my head unit or does the line out converter take care of the remote wire???Instaling an amp with my factory head unit ian a 2004 monte carlo?

You'll have to run a remote wire. It can be from a fused (1 amp) wire from the ACC switch in the ignition (fuse panel) to a swicth then to the amp REM connection.
