How to fit amp to factory head unit?

I have a Vauxhall Vectra SRI 06' with CD70 Navi. Trying to fit an amp to the stock Head Unit. So, got my RCA Line converter... http://icedotcomexpress.com/accessories-terminals-cabling-speaker-adaptors-line-level-converter-maker-p-280.html thats the one. Fitted the amp, with the line converter, power to battery, and earth to ground. But my only problem is i have no power to the amp????

I have however taken the remote feed and wired into a working cigarette lighter. I still have no power. Sorry if this is a little vague, but i've been at it most the day and my head is wired hahah.

Is it a bad earth?

Please hellpppp meeeeeeeeHow to fit amp to factory head unit?
An amplifier needs 3 things to power up.

1. A good ground.

2. 12VDC connected (and fused) to the car battery.

3. A remote turn on which should be connected to the existing stereos power antenna lead.

Take a meter or test light and check for 12VDC to the amplifiers (+) terminal and make sure you have 12VDC to the remote turn on.

While you are checking these, make sure you have a GOOD ground.

If you have all 3 and the amplifier still will not power up, then there is something wrong with the amplifier.

(When I say power up, I mean turn on. In order for the amp to "play" you need signal which would come from the RCA cables connected to your line output converter).
